For the past four (or it may be five....) years, I have ended the year with a workshop from Sara Davidson Flanders of Full Radiance. It has become a ritual for me to move with intentionality from a full 365 days of experiences into a new set of 365 days of opportunities and challenges to explore. This year was no different - and 45+ yogis moved, chanted, and meditated on offerings to ourselves, others, and the universe. An amazing experience of community and empowerment.
As I sat for quiet and contemplation today - this New Year's day - as I have also gotten into the ritual of doing, I decided to shuffle my cards and call in a message from my teachers and guides. I like to choose three cards when I am seeking a message. One card does not feel hearty enough, and two cards feels potentially too dualistic. I have found, for me, three cards offers a balanced depth and opportunity for nuance.
Quan Yin: Care and Compassion
Choose to be love. Do what is right for everyone involved. Offer a helping hand.
The Shekinah: Sacred Self
Unleash your spirit. Express your gifts. Dance to the sacred rhythm of life.
Kali-Ma: Facing Fear
Major spiritual changes are unfolding. This is your chance to soar.
A year of opportunity, expression, and flight - this sounds as if it will be exciting! Here's to 365 more days to explore.
Happy New Year to you.
