Grounded in Gratitude: 9/24/17 - 9/25/17

A warm September overnight at Kripalu has left me wanting to, not only acknowledge what I am grateful for, but to share AND invite those reading to do the same. Starting with this post, I am committing (publicly) to intentionally recognizing, as close to daily as possible, one or more aspects of my day, week, month, year or lifetime which leave me with feeling humble, happy, and filled with gratitude.

So for this R&R trip, I am grateful for nature. The scenery: the vista from the main building into the mountains & over the lake, the rustling of maple & birch leaves in a casual breeze, the heavy fog hanging over the lake in the cooler morning hours, the grace of geese taking off & landing in near unison, the sheer beauty of a bright, sunny day in the hills of the Berkshires.

While this is many things, each adds up to one thing - nature is a wonder.

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." ~ John Lubbock

What are you grateful for today?
